FORT ST. JOHN, B.C. – The Peace River Regional District’s health care scholarships intend to address the dire shortage of healthcare workers in the region.
These scholarships make post-secondary education in the healthcare field more accessible to a variety of residents, from high school students who are considering enrolling in a health care program after graduation to those looking to change careers and enter the health care field.
Funding is also available to those already in health care or in technical careers with the Northern Health Authority.
Bursaries are also offered to students residing in rural areas to assist with the cost of tuition, textbooks, and course materials.
