HOUSTON, B.C. – An investigation is underway after protestors allegedly threatened Coastal GasLink security officials on December 19th.

The incident took place at a  Coastal GasLink drill site on the Marten Forest Service Road near Houston, BC.

The protestors reportedly damaged trucks and fired flares and bear bangers at security officials.

Police say they will continue to monitor the situation.

Anyone found blockading or impeding workers’ access to the area are in breach of the injunction and may be subject to arrest, according to police.

Officers will also continue their roving patrols of the area to ensure everyone’s safety, and the roads remain unobstructed and accessible.
