FORT ST. JOHN, B.C. – The organizer of a resident Christmas parade that took to the streets over the last week says it was well-received by residents.
“A couple of us had music and you could hear the children squealing over the music and horns honking, The kids and even the adults, there were so many people outside their doors, yelling and screaming: ‘thank you’,” Monte Albersworth said.
The parade went through Fort St. John and Charlie Lake throughout this past week, wrapping up Wednesday night.
Albersworth says on the busiest night, he had approximately 10 vehicles join his parade.
“We had a good group of people that did a little more decorations that were very much eye candy for the residents to look at,” Albersworth recalled.
Albersworth says he was inspired to plan the parade this year after joining someone that drove past his house in a float last year during the holidays.
