CHETWYND, B.C. – The RCMP has asked the Chetwynd Chamber of Commerce to notify its members after receiving reports of a man handing out “personal notices of liability” to local businesses enforcing regional health orders.

The man has reportedly been attending businesses and serving the document below to staff.

The document claims that the government and private businesses are infringing on the rights of citizens by enforcing the vaccine passport.

The Chamber says this may also extend to mask-wearing as the man refused to wear a mask while attending businesses.

Chetwynd RCMP encourages businesses if they feel at all unsafe or if the man continues to harass staff to contact the detachment immediately.

Police also remind residents that there are no exemptions and say the documents aren’t legitimate.

Those with additional questions or concerns can contact the Chetwynd RCMP at 250-788-9221
