HUDSON’S HOPE, B.C. – The District of Hudson’s Hope is flying its flags at half-mast to honour former mayor, Lenore Harwood.

“It is with a heavy heart that Mayor and Council recognize the long-time service and passing of retired Mayor Hardwood,” said Mayor Dave Heiberg in a statement.

Lenore served as mayor for 15 years, starting in 1993.

Heiberg says she worked tirelessly to help make the District a vibrant and inclusive community for residents.

“The Mayor, Council and all District staff would like to extend our deepest sympathies to the Harwood family for their loss. Lenore was a joyful and caring resident who will be deeply missed.”
