FORT ST. JOHN, B.C. – The impact of a two-vehicle collision Monday morning resulted in a Fort Cabs van sliding into the BC Liquor Store on 100th Street.

Fort St John RCMP responded to the collision at the intersection of 103rd Avenue and 100th Street just after 10 a.m.

The driver of the vehicle that struck the taxi was given a violation ticket for Fail to Yield After Stop.

One person was taken to hospital with injuries that have been described as minor, said RCMP.

BC Liquor Store manager, Calvin Seymour, says the cab was travelling on 100th Street when it got hit by a truck turning left onto the road. The taxi then slid into barricade poles in front of the store. The storefront received minimal damages.

A parking meter was also damaged as a result of the crash.
