FORT ST. JOHN, B.C. – Northern Health has announced an end to the COVID-19 outbreak at Meadow House at Peace Villa in Fort St. John.

The outbreak was originally declared on November 4th, when at the time, three residents and three staff had tested positive for COVID-19.

On November 22nd, Northern Health released an update saying one resident who tested positive had passed away and no new cases had been identified.

“Northern Health wishes to thank the hardworking nurses, care aides, staff, and physicians who have continued to provide excellent care in these challenging circumstances,” says a release from December 3rd.

Northern Health Public Health officials are continuing to actively monitor and follow all lab-confirmed cases of COVID-19 among staff and patients at Northern Health facilities.
