UPDATE: The pool is now open. The City said Tuesday that repairs to the HVAC system at the North Peace Leisure Pool are complete.

FORT ST. JOHN, B.C. – The City of Fort St. John says the North Peace Leisure pool will be closed until Wednesday due to problems with the HVAC system.

A controller on the HVAC unit failed and a new one had to be sourced from Winnipeg.

“We appreciate the patience and understanding of our users and residents who are directly impacted by this unplanned closure and are working as hard as possible to minimize the impact,” said Karin Carlson, Director of Community Services.

The pool will also be closed from 7:30 p.m. on November 29th until 2 p.m. the next day due to a planned BC Hydro power outage so they can replace equipment in the area.

Further updates regarding these closures can be found on the City’s website.
