CHETWYND, B.C – Chetwynd RCMP has received a report of a knife stolen from a vehicle.
According to an RCMP release, a vehicle in the 4600 Block of 47th Avenue has been left unlocked, and a desert camo 12-inch knife with a black sheath cover was taken.
RCMP have identified and spoken with the suspect, however, it’s unclear where the knife is now.
Police are looking to the public, hoping they can help to locate the knife as it has sentimental value for the owner and would like it returned.
“We would like to remind the public to keep your vehicles locked and to not leave valuables in your vehicles,” says Constable Lenin Cruz with the Chetwynd RCMP.
Anyone with any information or knows where the knife could be located is asked to contact the Chetwynd RCMP at 250-788-9221.
