FORT ST. JOHN, B.C. -The Fort St. John RCMP are investigating after Petro Canada in Wonowon was broken into this week.

The detachment received a report of the break and enter on Monday at the gas station located at 16960 Highway 97 North.

An investigation found that two suspects, believed to be male, broke into the store and stole the ATM along with cigarettes, liquor and fireworks before departing the scene northbound on the Alaska Highway.

Police are looking for a blue and silver Ford F-350 pickup. It is a four-door crew cab, 4×4, and has a large grey tank in the truck box.

On Wednesday, the detachment recovered the badly damaged ATM north of Wonowon on the Mile 109 Road just off the Alaska Highway.

The Fort St John RCMP continues to investigate and are asking anyone who may have dashcam footage from around that time or additional information in this matter to contact police.
