FORT ST. JOHN, B.C. – A Fort St. John man charged with second-degree murder in the death of Amanda Black will return to court on Thursday.
Shane Sutherland made a brief appearance in Fort St. John provincial court Monday and will return on November 18th to set dates for a preliminary inquiry.
The judge will decide if there is enough evidence to send the accused to trial during the inquiry.
Police arrived at a home in Village St John, finding Amanda Black, 22, dead around 7:30 p.m. on February 8th.
RCMP originally deemed the death suspicious and said the two individuals knew each other.
