DAWSON CREEK, B.C.-  Good news for Dawson Creek residents as the 102nd Ave Crossing Replacement project has come to a close.

The new bridge was opened to traffic as of November 6th. There are temporary guardrails up along the bridge’s sidewalk that will remain until the permanent guardrails arrive.

The City of Dawson Creek was approved for funding in early spring. The total funding amount of $5.9 million is through the Investing in Canada Infrastructure Program’s new COVID-19 Community Resilience Stream.

Construction on the Crossing Replacement Project began in the Summer and included a new clear span bridge and some renovations to the surrounding creek area to help the project from scour, erosion, and flooding.
