FORT ST. JOHN, B.C. – The City and BC Transit will be offering free transit service on Remembrance Day, Thursday, November 11th.

According to a release, “BC Transit will still be offering free service to all bus riders in honour of those who have served and continue to serve in the Canadian Armed Forces.”

The free service will be available from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. and includes all routes. The handyDART service will also be free from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

BC Transit is supporting bus drivers who choose to stop their bus, as long as it’s safe to do so, at 11 a.m. to observe the traditional minute of silence in memory of those who gave their lives and service.
