VICTORIA, B.C. – The Northern Health region added 102 cases on Friday, moving the active case count to 627.
There are 62 people in hospital, 16 of whom are in critical care.
There was one COVID-19 death recorded Friday, moving the regional total to 225.

Out of 15,902 cases since last spring, 14,973 have since recovered.
Another 1,453 vaccine doses were given since Thursday, bringing the total dose count to 388,766. Of those, 180,602 are second doses and 7,083 are other doses.
Across the province, 549 cases were recorded on Friday, moving the active case count to 4,483.
There are 441 people in hospital, 129 of whom are in critical care.
There was one COVID-19 death recorded on Friday, moving the provincial total to 2,201.
Out of 208,265 cases since last March, 201,267 have since recovered.
B.C. added 16,102 vaccine doses since Thursday, moving the total dose count to 8,311,858. Of those, 3,976,133 are second doses and 151,456 are other doses.
As of Friday, 90.2 per cent of eligible residents over 12 have a single dose, and 85.7 per cent have received both doses of a Health Canada approved vaccine.

Northern Health will post notifications after contact tracing is complete for a case in a school setting, where an exposure letter has been circulated to one of more contacts within the school.
