VICTORIA, B.C. – The Northern Health region added 37 cases on Wednesday, moving the active case count to 550.
There were no COVID-19 deaths recorded in the region on Wednesday.
British Columbia added 430 new cases on Wednesday, moving the active case count to 4,373.
The number of people in hospital is not available due to a data error, but 137 of those hospitalized are in critical care.
There were six COVID-19 deaths in B.C. on Wednesday, moving the provincial total to 2,192.
Out of 207,120 cases, 200,220 have since recovered.
As of Wednesday, 90.1 per cent of eligible residents over 12 have a single dose of a Health Canada approved vaccine, and 85.5 per cent have both doses.
According to the Ministry of Health, from October 26th to November 1st, 59.1 per cent of cases were in people with no vaccine doses, 5.4 per cent were in partially vaccinated British Columbians, and 35.5 per cent were in fully vaccinated residents.
From October 19th to November 1st, 449 people were hospitalized with COVID-19. Of those, 65.9 per cent were not vaccinated, 6.5 per cent were partially vaccinated, and 27.6 per cent were fully vaccinated.
