FORT ST. JOHN, B.C. – The FSJ Hospital Foundation’s annual ‘Be an Angel’ campaign begins November 1st and runs until the end of the month.
This campaign is the Foundation’s biggest fundraiser and the longest-standing annual fundraiser, with donations being made through various events and opportunities within the community.
The fundraising goal this year is $250,000, which goes towards emergent needs for medical equipment that will help enhance patient care both at the hospital and Peace Villa Residential Care Facility.
The Be An Angel Gala has been cancelled again this year due to provincial health guidelines, however, the FSJHF says an online auction will be taking place.
According to the Foundation, the angel mail-outs should be hitting mailboxes any day now, which gives donors the option to return the enclosed paper angel ornament in memory or honour of someone special. The ornaments will then be displayed on the ‘Celebration of Life Christmas Tree,’ located at Totem Mall from November 15th to December 31st.
Another event included in the campaign is the annual Light A Moose Radiothon that will take place at Murray GM from November 17th to 19th. The fundraising goal is $100,000, with NorthRiver Midstream and Mustang Rentals each matching $20,000.
