FORT ST. JOHN, B.C. – The Fort St. John RCMP has located 28-year-old Michael Stafford wanted on warrants for forcible entry, assault and four counts of breach of release order.
RCMP received a warrant to enter a home that Stafford was seen entering on October 2nd and found him hiding in the basement later that day.
Stafford allegedly resisted arrest before being taken into custody with the assistance of the Police Dog Services unit.
He was assessed at the hospital before being released back into police custody, where he will remain until his next court appearance on October 18th.
Police asked for the public’s help locating Michael Stafford on September 22nd. Police had tried to arrest him last month, but he fled in a vehicle driven by another man.
