DAWSON CREEK, B.C. – Dawson Creek RCMP wants to speak with the driver of a black Ford F-350.

The detachment says the individuals in the truck were seen peering into residential properties last Thursday.

“We would like to speak with the driver, if you recognize it or happen to see it, please let us know,” said RCMP on Monday.

The detachment also released more property crime prevention tips for seasonal property owners.

With winter right around the corner, the RCMP is looking to help residents protect their belongings and keep properties secure.

The detachment recommends property owners secure all doors and windows, install a security system that can be accessed by a phone, and make the property look occupied. Residents are also asked to take expensive equipment home for the season, arrange for regular maintenance at the property, and ask their neighbours to keep an eye out.

With temperatures starting to drop, the RCMP reminds residents of some precautions to take as they warm up their vehicles.

The detachment says residents should never leave their vehicles unattended with keys inside, make sure doors are locked, and windows are closed, take valuables out, and use an anti-theft device.

Anyone who notices anything suspicious is asked to contact the Dawson Creek RCMP immediately at 250-784-3700 or 911.
