FORT ST. JOHN, B.C. – The first snowfall of the season is set to take place tomorrow in the Peace region.

According to Environment Canada, Tuesday morning will see a mix of snow and rain with snow expected to continue through to Wednesday with total amounts between 10 to 15 centimetres.

The Weather Network states that a cold upper trough near Alaska will slide over most of the province while the southeast will get some leftovers from the Prairies until Wednesday.

Tuesday will see a decent amount of snowfall north of Prince George, according to The Weather Network, which could impact Highway 97. TWN also gave a warning saying, “Cities like Fort St. John and Dawson Creek could overachieve big time with these early season snowfall events.”
