TAYLOR, B.C. – The District of Taylor says the water main near 102nd Street will be shut off starting at 1 p.m. today.

The District says the line could be shut down for several hours and recommends residents take precautions by storing water for their households.

The shutdown will take place to conduct a water service repair in the area.

During the repair, air could enter the system, affecting the water flow when turned back on, and there may be discoloration. If this happens, the District says to run your sink faucet for five to 10 minutes, which should clear up the water.

If the issue continues, call the District Office at 250-789-3392.
