FORT ST. JOHN, B.C. – Northern Health declared an end to the outbreak at the Inpatient Unit at the Fort St. John Hospital on Tuesday.

The health authority first declared the outbreak on August 27th, following four patients and three staff members testing positive for COVID-19.

One of the patients associated with the outbreak passed away, says Northern Health.

“Northern Health thanks patients and their families for their understanding and patience, and Fort St. John Hospital staff and physicians for continuing to provide excellent care during the outbreak period,” reads the release.

While the outbreak has ended, Northern Health says it will continue to actively monitor and follow up all laboratory-confirmed cases among staff and patients.
