FORT ST. JOHN, B.C. – A virtual labour market forum is taking place in Northeast B.C. in November.

InSight: The Future of Work will discuss how the global, provincial, and regional trends influence work and life in the North.

The forum will give the opportunity to create dialogue and engagement around the labour market trends that the North faces across all sectors.

This event will help those choosing a new career, building their team, or launching a future entrepreneurial venture. InSight will help to plan and develop solutions for whatever challenges and opportunities that may lie ahead.

The Northeast Regional Labour Market Strategy, State of the Agriculture Labour Trends, and Needs in British Columbia and the Northern Rockies Regional Municipality Labour Market Study will be showcased at the forum and these studies will be set against the context of global and provincial trends.

The event will be in partnership with the Northern Lights College (NLC).

“We at NLC are excited about the findings of the study and how it will impact the region going forward. We are looking forward to meeting the demands of the industry by providing training opportunities for the ever-changing workforce. Sharing what we’ve learned through the InSight conference will create a dialogue between multiple industries and better prepare everyone for the challenges that lie ahead,” says Bryn Kulmatycki, President of Northern Lights College.

This virtual event will take place at noon on Thursday, November 4th. The event is free, but pre-registration is required on the NLC website.
