BUICK, B.C. – The Buick Water Station is temporarily out of order.
The Peace River Regional District sent a tweet on Monday alerting residents that, due to a pump issue, the water station is closed until further notice.
In the meantime, the PRRD says the Prespatou Water Station, about 35 kilometres north, is in service and is accessible.
According to the PRRD website, there are four water stations in Electoral Area B for potable water:
A fifth water station in Rose Prairie was supposed to be online in February, but the discovery of explosive gases in the well casing forced the water station from becoming operational, pending a feasibility study on alternatives.
