VICTORIA, B.C. – The Northern Health region added 66 cases on Wednesday, moving the active case count to 849.

There are 46 people in hospital, 12 are in critical care.

No deaths were recorded, keeping the regional total at 165.

Out of 10,097 cases, 9,074 have recovered.

Another 982 vaccine doses were given since Tuesday, bringing the total dose count to 339,859. Of those, 157,030 are second doses.

British Columbia added 661 cases, moving the active case count to 5,791.

There are 288 people in hospital, 137 are in critical care.

There were seven COVID-19 deaths across the province Wednesday, bringing the total to 1,873.

Out of 176,480 cases recorded in the province, 168,459 have recovered.

With 13,067 doses given since the last report, B.C.’s total dose count rises to 7,643,913. Of those, 3,646,806 are second doses.

From August 31st to September 6th, there were 4,691 cases in British Columbia. Of those, 22 per cent were in fully vaccinated individuals, nine per cent were in partially vaccinated residents, and 69 per cent of cases were in unvaccinated individuals.

Of the 186 hospitalizations from August 31st to September 6th, 10 per cent were fully vaccinated, six per cent were partially vaccinated, and 83 per cent had no doses.
