VICTORIA, B.C. – The Northern Health region added 99 cases on Tuesday, moving the active case count to 964.
There are 46 people in hospital, 14 are in critical care.
One death was recorded, bringing the regional total to 165.
Out of 10,035 total cases in the region, 8,888 have recovered.
There were 502 vaccine doses given since Monday, bringing the regional dose total to 338,877. Of those, 156,619 are second doses.
B.C. recorded 677 new cases on Tuesday, moving the active case count to 6,165.
There are 288 people in hospital, 140 are in critical care.
There was one death across B.C. Tuesday, moving the provincial total to 1,866.
Out of 175,819 cases in the province, 167,416 have recovered.
Across B.C., 12,393 doses were given, bringing the total dose count to 7,630,846. Of those, 3,640,480 are second doses.
Health Minister Adrian Dix announced that none of the cases in the intensive care unit in British Columbians under 50 are in fully vaccinated residents. In total, 140 people are in ICU, and 121 (86 per cent) are not vaccinated.
As of Tuesday, Dix says only about 14 per cent of eligible British Columbians remain unvaccinated.
