FORT ST. JOHN, B.C. – The Fort St. John Women’s Resource Society is holding an online auction next Monday to raise funds for its outreach store.
The outreach store helped between 1,600 to 1,700 residents in June, equalling to around $30,000 to run the store for that month.
The auction funds will help keep the outreach store going and stocked with supplies.
There is currently a sneak peek on the Online Auction Facebook event page, so residents can look at the items and find something that sparks their interest.
According to Lisa Jewell, Outreach Coordinator with the WRS, their still looking for donations if any businesses are interested in donating items.
Some of the items added so far are sunglasses, pillows and bedding, gift cards to local businesses, and hotel stay.
While pictures are posted to the event, bidding does not start until 3 p.m. next Monday.
