DAWSON CREEK, B.C. – Northern Health says the Province isn’t willing to move away from the current or upcoming public health orders, according to South Peace chambers of commerce.

Chambers in Dawson Creek, Chetwynd and Tumbler Ridge met with Northern health representatives on Monday to share concerns regarding the vaccinations and the vaccine passport.

“We expressed our concerns surrounding passport enforcement, staffing, privacy, the division of our communities, and further concerns around mental health,” says a joint release sent out by the chambers on Thursday.

After speaking with members and residents, the Fort St. John and District Chamber of Commerce recently issued a letter to Premier John Horgan regarding their passport survey results.

The implementation of the passport is expected to take place on September 13th.
