FORT ST. JOHN, B.C. – The CM Finch outdoor ice rink was vandalized this weekend after volunteers had just painted over the graffiti-covered walls.
Kim Van, president of Sunrise Rotary Club of Fort St. John, went to the rink Monday morning to take pictures of the club’s weekend work when she noticed new graffiti.
“This truly is disappointing to see. This free rink facility is maintained through our club via fundraisers and lots and lots of volunteer hours. I’m just shaking my head at this,” says Van in a statement.
