FORT ST. JOHN, B.C. – Northern Health declared a COVID-19 Outbreak at the Fort St. John Hospital – Inpatient Unit on Saturday, August 28th.

According to a release from NH, there are currently five lab-confirmed cases involving three patients and two staff members.

NH says enhanced outbreak control measures are in effect at the FSJ Hospital.

NH Public Health is closely monitoring for any additional cases and the facility is taking the steps to protect the health and staff and those they care for with enhanced precautions like:

Health officials will be monitoring the situation closely and carefully over the next few weeks and will only declare the outbreak over when they are confident that any chains of transmission have stopped.
