FORT ST. JOHN, B.C. – The People’s Party of Canada has selected Ryan Dyck as their candidate in Prince George-Peace River-Northern Rockies for the upcoming federal election.

Dyck resides in Fort St. John with his wife Ruth-Ann and five children, soon to be six, according to the PPC’s website.

“I love this nation and am ready to stand firm as your representative and fight to keep this nation True Strong and Free,” said Dyck’s profile on the PPC website.

“I believe that we need to stand in honour of many that have risked and even lost their lives to purchase freedom for us. Freedom has never been free; we must stand for it. Please stand with us.”

Other candidates who plan on running include incumbent Conservative MP Bob Zimmer, the Maverick Party’s Dave Jeffers, the NDP’s Cory Longley, the Green’s Catherine Kendall, and Liberal candidate Amir Alavi.

A complete list of confirmed candidates is set to be released on September 1st.

Advanced voting takes place for four days, starting September 10th.

Election day is September 20th.
