FORT ST. JOHN, B.C. – After a long wait to get back into action, the 1st Fort St. John Scouts is open for registration on September 15th.

Scouts do programming and activities for those aged five to 17 years old and are looking for volunteers for the younger groups of five to 11 years old.

Community members looking to volunteer can go to the 1st Fort St. John Scouts Facebook page, Scouts Canada website, or email at 1stfsj@scouts.ca. Those interested can volunteer with little to no experience.

According to Phallon Stoutenburg, Group Commissioner – 1st Fort St. John Scouts, there are various opportunities to get in contact and volunteer.

There are various activities that Scouts do throughout the year, a large portion of it based outdoors. Their most popular activity is camping, which was what got Stoutenburg addicted to scouting when she was young.
