FORT ST. JOHN, B.C. – Dave Jeffers, a Maverick Party candidate in the upcoming federal election, is hosting two town halls next week.

The town halls are taking place at the Charlie Lake Community Hall on August 11th from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. and the following day at the Rose Prairie Curling Rink from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m.

The Fort St. John resident is the party’s Prince George-Peace River-Northern Rockies candidate in the upcoming federal election.

According to Jeffers’ Facebook page, the meeting will allow residents to learn more about the party’s platform and how western Canada will be represented in parliament.

The following week, Jeffers will be in Pouce Coupe, Dawson Creek, Farmington, Doe River and Toms Lake. Dates have yet to be confirmed.

Jeffers was announced as a candidate in March by Jay Hill, the Maverick Party’s Interim Leader.

The party describes Jeffers as a local businessman with a vast career with science-based companies working to improve all aspects of responsible resource development.

The Maverick Party was launched in September 2020, formerly known as Wexit, to represent the best interests of Western Canadians.
