CHETWYND, B.C. – A drive-thru COVID-19 vaccine clinic will be available in Chetwynd this weekend.
The clinic will run this Friday and Saturday from 10:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. at Spirit Park.
The clinic is for people age 12 and older for first and second doses. Registration is recommended but not necessary.
The Fort St. John drive-thru clinic is returning in August and will be set up across from the new Canadian Tire off the Alaska Highway.

The mobile clinic will also be in the Fort St. John area this week on July 22nd, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. in the Baldonnel School parking lot and at the Taylor Trading Post on July 24th.
The Vax Van is accepting drop-ins for first and second doses.

According to the BC CDC, the vaccine coverage for those 12 and older is at 52 per cent for the Peace region and 54 per cent for Fort Nelson.
For vaccine coverage among adults, the Peace is at 55 per cent and Fort Nelson is at 57 per cent. For seniors (50+), northeast B.C. vaccine rates are around 70 per cent.
