UPDATE: A individual involved in the video has been arrested and released by FSJ RCMP. An investigation is underway.

FORT ST. JOHN, B.C. – Many residents have confirmed on social media that a video of a cat being decapitated is circulating between youth in Fort St. John.

Energeticcity made multiple calls to the Fort St. John RCMP to see if an investigation is underway but was met with no response or was told they were busy.

According to several claims on a local Facebook group, there were multiple children in the video, and it was sent to several other kids through Snapchat.

A couple of locals claim the young male in the video, who conducted the act, was asked to do so by the owner because the cat was sick.

Energticcity reached out to the North Peace SPCA to confirm if a cruelty investigation is underway, but has yet to receive a reply.
