DAWSON CREEK, B.C. – Polls open this week for Peace River Regional District residents to vote on two potential new services.
The two proposed service functions include the Health Related Services Grant in Aid and Seniors Aging in Place Support.
The grant in aid would provide funding to not-for-profit societies offering health-related services, and for post-secondary students in a healthcare or medical field. The PRRD says all residents can vote on this service. For more information, head to the ‘have your say’ website.
The second proposal aims to support seniors staying at their residence for long periods of time by providing home-based services within Electoral Area D and parts of Electoral Area E. To see who’s eligible to vote on this service or to view a list of voting locations, click here.
General voting takes place this Saturday from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., with advanced voting scheduled for Wednesday in the upper lobby at the Ovintiv Events Centre in Dawson Creek.
