DAWSON CREEK, B.C. – The City of Dawson Creek has announced that construction on the 102nd Avenue Crossing Replacement Project will begin in the upcoming weeks.
In the spring, Dawson Creek was approved funding from the Canada Infrastructure Program’s new COVID-19 Community Resilience Stream for $5.9 million.
This project will include the replacement of the 102nd Avenue creek crossing with a new clear span bridge and some renovations to the surrounding creek area to help protect from scour, erosion, and flooding.
This has been a much-anticipated project by the community and the City, and according to a post from Dawson Creek Mayor, Dale Bumstead, construction should begin in a few weeks.
