UPDATE – The time of the closure has changed to 10 a.m. Monday, July 12, 2021. The highway could be closed for up to two hours starting at 10 a.m.
FORT ST. JOHN, B.C. – Highway 29 will be closed early Monday morning for vehicle recovery.
Over the weekend, a drilling rig travelling on Highway 29 near Bear Flats lost control and tipped over into the ditch. For the vehicle to be recovered, Highway 29 will be closed starting at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, July 12, 2021.
Dawson Road Maintenance says the highway could be closed for two hours.
The road will be closed between the brake check and Cache Creek Bridge.
