HUDSON’S HOPE, B.C. – Residents using the Hudson’s Hope water system need to boil their water after E. coli and Total Coliforms were found.

The District posted a boil water notice for the District of Hudson’s Hope community water system on Saturday morning. Recent tests of water samples showed the presence of Total Coliforms and E. coli.

Officials say you should boil your water at a rolling boil for one minute before consuming. Businesses on the Hudson’s Hope community water system will also need to post signs notifying the public that the water is not potable.

It’s unclear how long the boil water notice will be in effect, but the District will notify the community when it has been lifted.
