FORT ST. JOHN, B.C. – Drivers on Highway 29 can expect some short closures next week, according to BC Hydro.

Hydro crews will be working on the highway between Hudson’s Hope and Chetwynd. Short closures will be required as helicopters will be installing transmission lines as a part of Site C.

Travellers can keep up to date with road closures on DriveBC.

Last week, BC Hydro released the construction bulletin for Site C, which discussed updates and upcoming tasks.

Crews will be working on the north and south bank of the dam site and Hudson’s Hope shoreline protection berm. The portage mountain quarry will also see trucks hauling loads to various construction sites along Highway 29.
