VICTORIA, B.C. – The Northern Health Region added one case over the weekend, dropping the active case count to 34.
Two people are in hospital, both are in critical care.
One death was recorded over the weekend, bringing the total to 157.

Out of 7,802 cases, 7,611 have recovered.
There were 4,310 vaccine doses given since the last report, bringing the total number of vaccine doses given in the region to 239,288.
The province added 87 new cases over the weekend. From Friday to Saturday there were 30 cases, 37 from Saturday to Sunday, and 20 cases from Sunday to Monday.
The active case count sits at 652.
There are 85 people in hospital, 22 of whom are in critical care.
There were three COVID-19 deaths over the weekend, moving the total to 1,759.
Of the 147,790 confirmed cases in B.C., 145, 362 have recovered.
There were 121,777 vaccine doses given since the last report, bringing the total number of doses given in B.C. to 5,124,693.
The 20 cases recorded in B.C. from Sunday to Monday is the lowest single-day increase since July 19th, 2020, when just 19 cases were recorded.
The provincial active case count of 652 is the lowest since August 14th, 2020.
B.C.’s average daily case count of 35 cases per day is also the lowest it has been since August 1st, 2020.
