FORT ST. JOHN, B.C. – Jake Gardner won the PRCA Xtreme Bulls Tour event at the Greeley Stampede last Thursday.

The Fort St. John bull rider took first place after taming a bull named Mcnasty for a score of 86 points. Gardner won just under $5,000 for his winning ride.

The second-place rider was the only other qualified ride, good enough for 68 points.

In Xtreme Bulls events, each rider gets one go in the first round. Top performers advance to the final round, and the two-run average determines the winner.

Money earned on the PRCA Xtreme Bulls Tour counts toward PRCA World Standings, determining the qualifiers for the National Finals Rodeo in Las Vegas.

Gardner rounded out his weekend in Dickinson, North Dakota, for the Roughrider Days Rodeo.

Riding Poor Hungry Joe in round one, Gardner was bucked off and out of the competition.
