FORT ST. JOHN, B.C. – North Peace District 4-H will host their annual livestock auction online for the second year in a row due to COVID-19.
Council decided to host the auction through VJV Auction’s website to “protect the safety of everyone involved.”
Prospective buyers can view all animals for sale by registering online before the auction on July 12th at 2 p.m.
Council president, Sherri Collins, says the event is a great opportunity for residents to fill their freezer with “quality, local, hand-raised beef, pork and lamb beef while supporting local 4-H youth in agriculture.”
The 4 -H program aims to help youth develop leadership, citizenship, and personal development skills. Collins says this year, the district has 91 members age 6 to 21 and 25 volunteer leaders.
Further information and updates on the auction can be found on the district’s Facebook page.
