WONOWON, B.C. – A vehicle fire caused a road closure on Highway 97 between Beatton Airport Rd and Aitken Creek Rd, says Drive BC.
A 13.2 kilometre stretch of the highway was closed down just before 2 a.m. Saturday morning with no available detours.
Roughly an hour later, the road was opened to single-lane alternating traffic, and by 5:43 a.m. the highway was cleared, according to Drive BC.
BC Highway Patrol says the lone occupant of the vehicle was not injured, and the cause of the fire is unknown.
