FORT ST. JOHN, B.C. – The NWJHL announced Friday the league would plan a 40 game regular season schedule for the league’s 28th season.

“The league AGM will take place mid-summer. At that point, the league will release details of the season format along with start dates,” says a release.

The Huskies held an AGM in May, and now the hockey operations team is preparing for next season.

The 2020-2021 season was shortened due to evolving COVID-19 restrictions. The start of the Huskies’ season was delayed until after October, then it was cancelled on February 8th after playing just three exhibition games and two regular-season games.

Tryouts for the Huskies will be held from August 27th to 29th at Pomeroy Sports Centre.

Players interested in attending are asked to email [email protected]l.com for camp information.

In March, defenceman Aiden Tegart and centre Dean Whitcomb committed to Marian University, making them the third and fourth Huskies players to move on to Marian.
