FORT ST. JOHN, B.C. – North Peace Secondary School’s 2021 graduates walked the stage in a virtual graduation ceremony on Friday.
For the second year in a row, the grad ceremony was filmed over a couple of weeks and streamed online.
Local dignitaries congratulated grads and wished them well in their future endeavours, including Mayor Lori Ackerman, MLA Dan Davies, and MP Bob Zimmer.
“Seek success. That path to success may look more like a maze. But know that you have been through many mazes already. And you will go through many more. So never quit seeking success. Enjoy the experiences along the way,” said Mayor Lori Ackerman.
“Life is going to be different though, because the predictable has now become a little less certain. But life is often An Unexpected Journey. And my advice to you is to embrace this journey, learn from it, improve and become who you are,” said MLA Dan Davies.
Drew Woodruff and Julie Fochuk were named NPSS’s 2021 Class Historian and Valedictorian, respectively.
“Take a moment to remember the most impactful moments and days of your life. Think about the best times and the worst times. All of those times have made you into who you are today and have taught you everything you know. So today, as we celebrate our graduation and success, be proud of yourself and everything you have done to make it here,” said Fochuk.
