VICTORIA, B.C. – The Northern Health Region added three new cases Tuesday, moving the active case count to 69.
There are two people in hospital, both of whom are in critical care.
There were no COVID-19 deaths Tuesday, keeping the regional total at 154.
Out of 7,770 confirmed cases in the region, 7,547 have since recovered.
There were 3,073 vaccine doses given since Monday, bringing the total number of doses given to 185,292.
The province added 108 new cases Tuesday, bringing the active case count to 1,496.
There are 139 people in hospital, 39 of whom are in critical care.
There were no COVID-19 deaths confirmed Tuesday, keeping the provincial total at 1,734.
Of the 146,561 confirmed cases in the province, 143,299 have since recovered.
The British Columbia government announced a travel ban prohibiting residents from moving between three health zones on April 23rd.
Police say between May 6th and June 12th, 14,193 vehicles were checked, and 236 voluntarily turned around.
Another 26 vehicles were instructed to turn around, but no tickets were issued, according to RCMP.
