FORT NELSON, B.C. – Environment Canada has issued a rainfall warning for the Fort Nelson and Muncho Lake Park areas.
Heavy rain with possible thunderstorms is expected to begin around noon on Tuesday.
Rainfall amounts of 40 to 60 millimetres are expected before ending Wednesday afternoon.
According to Environment Canada, a moisture laden system will move northward into northern Alberta. Spreading rain into the Fort Nelson region and could affect the Tetsa River and Stone Mountain Park areas.
Occasional thunderstorms embedded within the system are possible.
Heavy rainfall or downpours can cause flash floods and water pooling on roads.
