FORT ST. JOHN, B.C. – The North Peace Regional Gradfest cooked up some breakfast sandwiches Monday morning to raise funds for local charities.
Residents stopped by NPSS for a delicious ham and egg breakfast sandwich, which resulted in around $2200 being raised for the Fort St. John Salvation Army and the Northern BC Volleyball Club.
Local graduates were able to grab a free breakfast while filling out their registration forms and information packages for this week’s GradFest activities.
“It was originally one of our plans when we were under the understanding that we could not have gatherings at all. And so it was one of a couple of our ideas of activities that we could do where the students don’t gather,” says volunteer Stacy Flotre.
This year’s grad class chose which charities would receive the donations.
