FORT ST. JOHN, B.C. – Northern Health has sent another update regarding the COVID-19 outbreak at the Site C Dam.
According to NH, after ongoing monitoring and testing, there have been no new cases identified with the outbreak that was declared on April 28th.
To date, this outbreak has been associated with 56 lab-confirmed cases of which all have recovered.
Workers at site are continuing to be screened and contact tracing is being completed for any new cases. Enhanced outbreak control measures have remained in place and include:
Northern Health Medical Health Officers, Site C and its contractors, and WorksafeBC continue to work closely in response to the outbreak and are monitoring for any future clusters of COVID-19 activity.
As of June 11th, there are 1,537 people in camp, three in isolation at camp, five isolating at home, and two active cases, which are not associated with the outbreak. Since March 2020, there have been 123 cases of COVID-19 at site.
