FORT NELSON, B.C. – The Northern Rockies Regional Municipality launched its new tourism website on Wednesday.
The website features improved navigation, accessibility, information display, and emergency notifications, the new tourism website is also mobile-friendly, said the NRRM in a release Wednesday.
The website has a Regional Services Map and an Interactive Travel Guide where residents can search a specific area in the Regional Municipality, choose from a pre-set list of attractions, or just click on the map.
Users can also subscribe to pages and receive notifications when there are updates.
The municipality said an updated event calendar for community events, programs, and festivals will be added to the site once COVID-19 health and safety regulations ease up.
A more intuitive search function will ensure a user-friendly experience when looking for information on the new site, said the NRRM.
The launch of the tourism website will be closely followed by updates to the municipal, airport, and investment-centred websites in the next few months. Combined together, information will be streamlined for more efficient delivery to residents, visitors, and future visitors.
An online feedback form is included in the new website, and residents are encouraged to continue engaging to make the website better.
